During residency, Dr. Weiss was actively involved in the Stanford clinical research unit and served as a sub-investigator on some of the clinical trials that helped to bring several novel therapies for the treatment of psoriasis to patients. In his second year of residency, Dr. Weiss received the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) resident-research award.
